Yes, please click this fees page link or the "fees" section on the left or top navigation bar for more details. Please be aware that our billing policy has changed effective from the 1st of December 2023.

Effective from 1/12/2023, we charge a fee because we are mix-billed. This means Medicare pays a part of the fee and you pay an additional gap fee to help us cover our costs. However, Medicare does not cover all services. In these cases, we ask you to pay a reasonable private fee. For lengthy and difficult procedures like removing cysts, we might ask for an additional facility fee to help cover equipment and staff costs. We try to keep costs low at all times and hope you understand.

Medicare is a government program that helps pay for your doctor visits. But Medicare does not adequately pay the whole amount that the practice charges. The extra money that you have to pay is called a 'gap fee.' Think of it like this: Imagine Medicare gives part of the money for the doctor's visit, but not all. The gap fee is the extra money needed to make up the full amount. We charge this gap fee because the money from Medicare does not always adequately cover everything we need to provide good care. The gap fee helps us pay for things like the doctor's time, the receptionist's time, the practice manager's time, facility maintenance costs, the various equipment we use, and so forth. We try to make sure this fee is reasonable, so that our care is still affordable.

Any service that requires a prescription and referral legally requires a medical history review by the doctor. This is a rule we must follow, even if you need to change your prescription or referral. We cannot send any scripts and referrals without having you talking to the doctor first.

Yes, patients over 60 years old with a concession or health care card at our clinic are bulk-billed. Please present your pension, concession, or health care card to continue to support our billing policy.

No, but we can bulk-bill only for a few specific lesions. A full skin check will incur a fee.

Yes.

If you do not attend your appointment, it's okay. But please remember, when you miss your appointment, it can make it harder for us to help everyone and keep costs down. We really value your help with this. Thank you!

Life does not always go as planned, and we understand that. If you are late for your appointment, don't worry. We'll try our best to see you. But, you might need to wait a bit longer until we have a free spot. If we can't see you right away, we'll help you pick another time that suits you. Thank you for being patient and working with us.

If you need a medical certificate, you must speak to the doctor either face-to-face or on the phone.

Yes. We have a large and long ramp outside our entrance for wheelchairs.

Yes, but these services are not covered by Medicare and therefore will incur a private fee.

Yes, you can certainly speak with the doctor over the phone. However, please be aware that due to the high volume of patients also waiting for telehealth consultations, there may be a lengthy waiting period before the doctor is able to return your call. We strive to manage these calls as efficiently as possible and appreciate your patience in this matter. Otherwise, please book a time and have your phone ready at your booked time for a call. The call will not always come exactly at the booked time due to a busy and unpredictable schedule.

No, the receptionist cannot tell or give you your test results at all. Only a doctor can discuss your test results because they understand what the results mean. We know waiting for results can make you worried, but your doctor will tell you what you need to know. Thank you for understanding.

Yes. We will never release your medical records to anyone unless we have your written consent.

We charge a small fee for sending all your medical records because it takes time and resources to put everything together. This includes making sure all your information is safe and sent correctly. We want to give you the best service, and this small fee helps cover the work that goes into handling your records with care. We try to keep costs low for everything and hope you can understand.
